We will have crafts and family fun in the gym on Thursday, January 19 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Hotdogs and juice will also be available at the ME School kitchen beginning at 4pm because there will be special parent conferences starting right after school. Teachers will be arranging conferences by appointment with a priority for meeting with parents of recently-enrolled students. Contact your student’s teacher if you would like to have a conference on January 19. We will also hold regular conferences in March as usual.
Bethel Schools will be releasing one-hour earlier than a normal Wednesday on December 21, 2016. Buses will be running one hour earlier than scheduled for a Wednesday as well. The following are the planned release times:
We have Friday Afternoon Showcase at 2:30pm today. Wear red and green to go with the holiday theme.
M.E. School’s Holiday Program is on Thursday, December 15th at the BRHS High School Gym. The theme is “Dancing Through the Decades.” Please bring your child to BRHS at 6:00pm. The show will start at 6:30pm. Your child will be wearing costumes and/or accessories provided by the school. It is not necessary to go and buy special clothing, but you may want to have them wear one of their nicer outfits since this is our special performance for the community. Please have your child wear shoes (not boots) to the performance. Thank you and we look forward to presenting for you! Happy Holidays!
If you have any questions, or if your child will not be able to make it please contact Ms. Greger ASAP at 543-2845 ext. 3610 or email@example.com
We will have Family Night at ME School tonight from 6-7:30pm. We have North Pole visitors available for pictures and crafts to do together.
All Bethel schools except K.L.A. are scheduled to start at 10 A.M. due to wind chill. For a 10 A.M. start, buses begin their routes at 9am, about 90 minutes later than the normal schedule.
If you are curious how we decide about appropriate temperatures for school, click here to download the windchill chart you see below. The red line represents our limit for having school when we have windchill concerns. If it is colder than that red line, we do not have school. Today we were in the “30-minute” area for frostbite times. The important thing is that students need to be fully dressed for this cold weather with winter boots, snowpants, hats, and mittens or gloves. For children who are not used to this colder weather, we also recommend warm layers underneath the winter gear.
